Happy 70th Anniversary AMTA-IL 

2019 marks the 70th Anniversary of AMTAs Illinois Chapter. The chapter’s success and longevity is due to the hard work and dedication of its volunteers.  Without volunteers there would be no annual conference, no continuing education classes, newsletters, awards ceremonies, social events, and no delegates to represent the over 4,000 Illinois members at the AMTA National Convention. It is the volunteers who maintain our chapter’s social media outlets and manage the chapter’s finances, and it’s volunteers who represent not only AMTA members, but ALL Illinois massage therapists at the government level in the state legislature. It is AMTA members like yourself who volunteer their time and strive to give members the most bang for their membership buck!  For those of you who do not actively volunteer, your feedback is heard!  Your comments, praises, and concerns drive us to constantly improve.

It is no accident that the AMTA-IL is ranked as one of the top five chapters in the country.  Although we fall under the guidance of the national office, it is the volunteers who are the boots on the ground and the hands on workers who see to it that the chapter runs like a well oiled machine. Next time you attend an AMTA-IL event, thank a volunteer and consider becoming one yourself.
