How to Vote
Be sure to put vote@simplyvoting.com in your email program’s contact list, and watch for an email from American Massage Therapy Association with that address on 3/13/2018 with the link and elector ID information to vote. You will receive a reminder email from Simply Voting a few days before the close of the voting window if you have not yet voted.

2017 Chapter Award Nominations

Each year AMTA-IL seeks nominations of individuals to be recognized at the Spring Conference and Member Meeting for their contributions to the advancement of the profession of Massage Therapy and/or their service to the chapter. The  Award Ceremony will take place on Saturday evening, April 7th. To nominate someone or yourself, follow the link below. Submit your nominations to Christine Stearns, Awards Committee Chair at cestearnsmk@gmail.com.
We are seeking nominations for:
Meritorious
This award acknowledges one individual who has diligently volunteered in a generous and professional manner to the chapter,  and he/she will receive national recognition at the 2017 AMTA National Convention. The recipient of this award must be an active AMTA-IL member.
Distinguished Service
Recognition is given to an  individual OR group who has contributed significantly to the advancement and continuity of the  Massage Therapy profession through chapter growth, community outreach, research, government relations, media and/or other worthy venues. The recipient(s) can be a part of the larger massage community and not required to be members of AMTA-IL.
Humanitarian Award
This award is given to those individuals who, with compassion and an open heart served or continue to serve individuals or groups such as veterans, cancer patients, homeless or other charitable organizations or humanitarian causes in need,, and who go above and beyond the calling of massage therapy.  Recipient(s) can be a part of the larger massage community and are not required to members of AMTA-IL.
Massage Therapy Educator of  The Year 
To openly honor and acknowledge a Massage Therapy Educator who has provided inspiration and respectful leadership for their students’ continual growth & knowledge. Recipient can be of the larger massage community and are not required to be a member of AMTA-IL..
Outstanding Student of the Year
Each year the chapter recognizes and honors one student who exceed in academics and has volunteered in community service or outreach events that pertain to the field of Massage Therapy. Recipients must b a student at the time of service but are not required to be a member of AMTA-IL
Pioneer Award
The recipient of the Pioneer Award is someone who is considered a “trailblazer”  in the profession of Massage Therapy. This individual can be any practitioner who has made significant contributions in helping develop and/or advance the profession in a myriad of ways, such as in the fields of healthcare, government relations, research,education and curriculum, publications etc. Recipients can be part of a larger massage therapy community and do not have to be members of AMTA-IL.
