2017 Solar Eclipse Massage Therapy Outreach Event

August 21, 2017 North America will be the site of a total eclipse of the sun, spanning a range of 65 miles wide from Oregon to South Carolina. Carbondale, Illinois will be the site of the longest duration of darkness, which expected to be a total of 2 minutes 40.2 seconds.

AMTA-IL is seeking volunteer Massage Therapists to staff the AMTA Massage Therapy tent which will be located at Primo’s Pizza, 604 E Park, Carbondale. Canopy provide – No Set-up fee. Massage table and chair provided. 15-20 minute chair and table massages will be offered to the public. This is a wonderful opportunity for Community Outreach. Volunteers can distribute their personal business cards which will help expand their horizons and grow their clientele while offering a short repose from the heat while experiencing an  amazing and rare Total Eclipse of the sun.
